About the Event

An evening of discovery includes the film Winter Journey, about Jewish musicians in 1930s Germany, as well as a Q&A with author Martin Goldsmith and performances of Nielsen’s Inextinguishable symphony and Sibelius’s Finlandia.

Program length: Three hours (including intermission)  

Biographies 

MusicaNova, celebrating its 20th anniversary, enriches the Valley of the Sun by playing new, neglected, and familiar classical music in fresh ways. 

Martin Goldsmith is director of classical music programming at SiriusXM Satellite Radio in Washington, D.C. From 1989 to 1999, he hosted Performance Today, National Public Radio’s daily classical music program.
